My Story
Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved to write and tell stories. I could often be found with my nose buried in a book, and my literary heroes were creative, nature-loving Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables and gutsy, spirited wordsmith Jo March from Little Women. As I was growing up, I never strayed too far from my trusty notepad and pen, and I loved to 'interview' willing friends and family, spending many a happy hour creating miniature magazines, books, and newspapers by hand.
My love of ink and imagination has never wavered, and so I began writing straight out of university when I graduated with a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature and an MA in Women and the Word: Gender, Literature, and Spirituality from the University of Liverpool.
Along my journey, I have taken part in a Fringe Festival as a performance poet and have written a number of books - a non-fiction nature book, collections of nature poems, and a guided journal for all those who want to live slowly, simply, and seasonally.
I have penned many features articles, blogs, reviews, poetry, and short stories, and my words have appeared in a range of print magazines and digital publications, including Reader's Digest, Oh magazine, The Simple Things, Roots + Wings, Creative Countryside, The Dawntreader, Wedding Ideas, Imaginarium magazine, HerStoria, and more.
Additionally, I worked for Fabl Creative (formerly Fen + Field) and Aetla magazine as a Journalist and human/nature columnist, and for Kindred Spirit magazine - the UK's leading guide to mind, body, and spirit - as a Journalist and Editorial Assistant, writing newsletters for both Kindred Spirit and Watkins Mind Body Spirit magazines.
I've always loved writing, being creative, and getting out into nature, and have long been fascinated by folklore, wellbeing, natural philosophy, and eco-spirituality, but when my mum got sick and I became her carer, I became even more invested in the active pursuit of all those things which acted as an anchor and helped me find balance and feel better.
I chose to lean into my passions and took courses in Meditation, Mindfulness, Journal Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching, Sound Therapy, Traditional Irish Sean-nós Singing, Counselling, Herbalism, Horticulture, and Garden Design. I chose, too, to write like the wind, and to make meaning from my experiences by turning them into art, giving them shape in the form of the written word.

I am passionate about words, storytelling, and the magical power of creativity. I am passionate about myths, legends, and our folkloric past, which is so often woven with a love of landscape, environment, and place. I am passionate about nature's beauty and the wisdom held within the elements and turning seasons.
I believe these things hold the key to restoration, reweaving the threads of past, present, and future, and igniting intuition, inspiration, and imagination. I am driven by a deep desire to share with you everything that has given me a luminous spark of hope when times have been tough.
I know what it feels like to feel stressed, tired, and uninspired. I know what it feels like to feel disconnected from nature, from yourself, your creativity, and your dreams. I know what it feels like to feel as if you're somehow living the wrong life, as if you have become disconnected from the taproot that once nourished you.
But I want to share with you everything that has helped me feel connected to nature, to the green spaces and great outdoors, and to my own wild nature - the source of our power, passion, and purpose. I want to share these things with you so you can live a more mindful, magical life filled with enchantment and wild hearted wonder.
